Subject Choice Assessment & Counselling

Choosing subjects for your last school phase can be daunting – and limiting if not managed correctly. A strategic choice taking the individual and future possibilities into consideration is essential as your subject choice lays the foundation for your future career options.
 

This assessment is typically done during the Grade 9 school year. Often though, Grade 10 learners who doubt their chosen subjects also opt for this service.

This service includes:

• An information session

  • During this session important information pertaining to subject choice is brought to your attention. Without this knowledge, it is difficult to make sensible decisions.

• An in-depth, full day assessment

  • this psychometric evaluation is comprehensive and includes all aspects (aptitude, interest, personality, health, academic achievement and difficulties, etc.) for a thorough, scientific analysis and feedback.

  • the psychometric tests utilised are rigorously researched and standardised measuring  instruments to produce scientifically valid and reliable results.

• An individualised feedback session of one hour
  During this session:

  • valuable resources are provided,

  • the psychometric test results are discussed, and

  • subject choice options are recommended.

• A written report

• Ongoing assistance with your subject choice as needed to keep you on track – at no additional cost.
